What is nyll?

The New York Legacy League (nyll) is a community of Magic: The Gathering players who gather weekly to compete in the Legacy format. This site tracks tournament results, decklists, metagame trends, and player ratings across all league events.

Format

We play Legacy — a Constructed format that allows cards from throughout Magic's history, with a curated banned list. Events typically run 4–5 Swiss rounds with no elimination top cut.

Ratings

Player ratings use the Glicko-2 system. Starting rating is 1500 with a rating deviation of 350. Ratings are updated after each event.
